Maudie’s Scholarship Award Recipient
Rachel was born in New York, grew up in California and now lives in Hawaii. She was accepted into seven different programs from New York to Paris, but is headed back to California this fall to attend the California Institute of the Arts where she will be studying for her Bachelor of Fine Arts. Her passion is photography. She says “Sometimes it is hard to say what I mean. My pictures can say what I mean.” Rachel already has her pictures in galleries in England and New York. She has worked very hard to get where she is today saying “After school, I would get home and go to school all over again.”
Other than being an extremely hard worker, she also has a passion for helping others and has donated her photography to different causes to help them raise funds. She even donated a piece of her work to our auction! Rachel is a movie buff, an avid swimmer, dabbles in surfing and has studied hula. We can’t wait to see what you have in store for us next Rachel!!
