Arehart Family Scholarship Recipient
Matthew will be attending the WCU UP Program in the fall. He loves the outdoors, has been swimming for 12 years, and in high school was the captain of the Varsity Swim Team. He is also a certified scuba diver! Matthew was in the high school Show Choir and has held two jobs this summer. Matthew volunteers with a Peer to Peer program where he helps other students with special needs within the community.
His real passion is cooking, and hopes to study foreign relations so he can learn about different cultures and food all over the world to prepare him to one day be a head chef…or better yet, own his own restaurant. Another passion of his is Detroit sports. He is an avid watcher and we even got to attend a Tigers game with him! He has always dreamed of going to college like his three older brothers (pictured) and it looks like this fall that dream will become a reality! Keep rockin’ it Matthew!
